Government Enterprise Search

Every government agency faces the same, daunting challenge: Answers for case management or constituent engagement are many times seemingly impossible to find. How can organizations answer important questions when the answers are buried deep or hidden inside of documents, files, emails and other forms of communication? This information is created at an astonishing rate by different people, in different languages, stored and saved in different locations. FOIA or public record requests make mining through all of this data an even bigger challenge. Enterprise Search for Government provides you with an advanced search platform that can quickly pinpoint the exact information your staff needs no matter where it is stored – any content repository, email system, network share website or database. Enterprise Search enables you to analyze and explore relationships and connections between different pieces of information to easily find the answers you need.

Best Practices for Joining Virtually

How to Join

Mute Your Microphone

Limit Distractions

On the day and time of the event, click the join link provided on the event page. You can also click “Join” in your ZOOM client and enter the
9-digit meeting ID (if provided).

You can join a test ZOOM meeting to familiarize yourself with ZOOM and test your microphone / speaker before joining a ZOOM meeting. Visit zoom.us/test and click “Join.”
Muting your microphone once you sign into the meeting is a good rule of thumb. Be mindful of background noise when your microphone is not muted. Avoid activities that could create additional noise. For example, shuffling papers, family members or pets could be disruptive in the meeting.
You can make it easier to focus on the meeting by turning off notifications, closing or minimizing running apps and muting your smartphone.
You’ll retain the discussion better if you refrain from replying to emails or text messages during the meeting and wait to work on that PowerPoint presentation until after the meeting ends.

Audio and Video Settings:

  1. Click on the Settings icon in ZOOM.
  2. Select the Video tab. Ensure the camera you want to use is selected from the dropdown list.
  3. Select the Audio tab. Ensure the speaker/ microphone you want to use is selected from the dropdown list.

Virtual Name
When joining the breakout sessions, make sure your first name, last name and company are noted once you sign in. This will help the presenter associate “a name with a face” when presenting to the participants

Editing/Adding Your Name Once You Enter the ZOOM Meeting:
  1. From the ZOOM Room click on the “Participants” icon at the bottom of the window.
  2. A “Participants” window will appear. Hover over your name and an option for “More>” will appear. Click “More>” and then select “Rename.”
  3. Enter your first, last name and company in the “New Screen Name” field

Position Camera Properly

If you choose to use a web camera, be sure it is in a stable position and focused at eye level, if possible. Doing so helps create a more direct sense of engagement with other participants.

Virtual Background
The virtual background feature allows you to display an image or video as your background during a ZOOM Meeting. This feature works best with a green screen and uniform lighting, to allow ZOOM to detect the difference between you and your background.

Zoom System Requirements

ECM CONFERENCE utilizes ZOOM technology to host the virtual event. You can join the sessions via Windows or Mac, or on iOS or Android mobile devices. View system requirements.

All sessions are password protected. Zoom has implemented security patches (for more information, visit ZOOM’s privacy and security webpage).
